Allah Knows Best

Allah, the Most Wise, said:

“Jihad (holy fighting in Allah’s Cause) is ordained for you (Muslims) though you dislike it, and it may be that you dislike a thing which is good for you and that you like a thing which is bad for you. Allah knows but you do not know.” {2:216}

Jihad is ordained for every Muslim. No one really likes to put his life at stake yet it is compulsory because it is necessary for the spread of Islam and the benefits are numerous. So Allah wants his believers to do jihad in His name.  Now apply the situation to matters in life other than jihad. Like jihad many situations arise that are not liked by a Muslim. A Muslim might try to run from them or try to change them yet he would not be able to. These situations might persist for long and eventually the person might get depressed and saddened. But Allah knows that why He has made him live through them. Why he bestowed him with burden he thinks cannot carry, why there is no good in it, what lies in the end and most importantly why good lies in it. A person cannot really understand what is good and bad. A thing might seem good and desirous to him and he will like to have it yet he would not be able to because it’s not meant to be his and be bad. So there are many things we Muslim seek in life which Allah knows are not beneficial for us. A good thing might seem bad and a bad thing might seem good. Allah is wise; He alone knows what is good or bad for us. So whatever the situation/thing might be just keep faith in Him and wait for the right time to get exactly what HE has in store for you and remeber
